Which show(s) do you host?

I present Monday night’s Pillow Talk show which is a mixture of relaxing and chilled songs spread amongst love songs and songs with nice happy vibes.

What is your background?

I had absolutely no experience of radio presenting before joining the station but it was something I’ve been really interested in having a go at for a long time. I think I would have fancied myself as a DJ if I would have had the opportunity when I was younger. My background is quite varied. I spent my early career in the freight industry and then worked as a travel agent but for the last 20 years or so I’ve worked in the criminal justice sector as a Probation Officer. I’ve worked with people addicted to drugs and alcohol and now amongst other things I support men with mental health problems and help new dads be the best dads they can be.

Why is music your passion?

Music has always been a massive feature in my life even though I’ve got no talent whatsoever when it comes to making it! I think music has the ability to change your mood and your mindset. It can remind you of the best times of your life and can help you through the worst times. I’ve got songs that I can play if I want to be transported back to a night out with my friends having the best time, I’ve got songs I can play to remind me of sitting on a beach at sunset in Ibiza. And that’s why I’m so passionate about music.

Why Radio Warrington?

I really believe in the power of local radio to promote local communities, keep local residents up to date with what’s going on whilst still playing outstanding music. I’ve loved seeing radio Warrington at events in the town through the years so jumped at the chance to join them when the opportunity came up.

Tell us something interesting about you

I’m a massive theme park geek! Almost every weekend you’ll catch me at one theme park or another with my family queueing up to ride our favourite roller coasters! I also love travel and have visited Cape Agulhas in South Africa where the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean meet.
