Which show(s) do you host?

I present Indie Saturdays with Jazz on Saturday afternoons from 12-2 p.m. The show is mainly based on the indie scene, exploring all types of artists from big mainstream favourites to local up-and-coming talents.

What is your background?

I have always had a love for music since I was young, any chance to have a boogie or a sing-along and I’m there! Performance has always been my passion from dancing, singing and acting I have done it all. Funnily enough when I was younger (not that long ago) theatre and musicals were my go-to, along with some of my mum’s favourite dance tunes mixed by Lee Butler. But as I got older I followed in my stepdad’s footsteps and became obsessed with indie music and its rural working-class culture.

I am now a stage school assistant teacher at Sixpence Studios (couldn’t keep me away from musicals after all), the lead singer in my band Iris and a first-class graduate from Leeds Beckett where I found my new passion for radio and presenting which led me to joining Radio Warrington.

What is your passion?

Music is what I live and breathe on a daily basis, I literally can’t start my day (or my car) without music! Music is a beautiful thing that brings everyone together and it has never let me down, no matter what emotion you feel, where you’re from or what background you have, music has a magical way of connecting everyone. I have been lucky enough to meet some of the most amazing people through music, some who I now consider family and have influenced some of my career decisions. You just can’t beat the feeling of performing on stage with your best friends and making forever-lasting memories.

Why Radio Warrington?

Radio Warrington is such an open and inviting radio station that I was eager to get involved with when I heard about the opportunity just after finishing uni, the convenience of it being on my doorstep being a born and bred ‘Warringtonian’ and being able to freely explore my passions further was a no brainer.

Tell us something interesting about you?

On my 21st Birthday, I ended up going home before half of my guests arrived at my Birthday party. Was nicely tucked up in bed by 8 pm, don’t tell me I don’t know how to have a good time! I once met Miles Kane at an album release event. And I have a little pug called Milo who’s definitely my number 1 fan.
